Where Does the Stone for the Rolling Pins Come From?
Nearly everything we produce comes from Minnesota. Most rolling pins are drilled out of boulders, which is why there is so much variation from one rolling pin to another. Sometimes we can get multiple rolling pins from one boulder, creating a family of rolling pins, but even then they are very unique. Some of our rolling pins are made out of concrete, and that usually contains Minnesota sourced aggregate as well.

How Do I Clean My Rolling Pin?
For most of our rolling pins you can clean them the same that you would a wooden rolling pin, just wipe it down with a warm, damp dish cloth directly after use. You can use a non-toxic, food grade sealer on most of our rolling pins. Due to the variations in natural stone, some of our stone rolling pins may discolor with exposure to foods with strong colors. The more porous the stone, the more likely it may stain. French rolling pins (those without handles) can be submersed in water, but don't put any of our products in the dishwasher.

Will My Rolling Pin Look Like the One In the Picture?
The rolling pins pictures you see on our site are actual photographs of the item you are purchasing. Every item we produce is unique, and has a unique stock number. As soon as you make your purchase, that item is no longer available for anyone else to buy. The exception to this rule is in our concrete products- those photos are representative of the actual product you will receive. Concrete products contain hundreds of different stones, infinitely interesting after we cut and polish them.

How Can I Be Sure An Item Is In Stock?
Everything on our site is in stock, or it won't appear on our site. Nearly every item is unique, and once it is purchased, it will no longer be visible for other shoppers to purchase.

Can I Request Special Orders or Specific Types of Stone?
Yes, but our inventory changes all the time, and we may not have a particular type of stone available to create your desired rolling pin. We also never really know what a rolling pin will look like until we get it out of a boulder. Our stock changes all the time, so check our inventory often. If there is a certain color, stone or texture you're after, contact us and we'll try to accommodate your request.

Can I Get Replacement Handles & Screws?
Yes, if you need replacement parts, just contact us. We'll work with you to determine the parts needed, and the cost with shipping to get your rolling pin in working order.

Can You Hold An Item For Me To Purchase Later?
No, we cannot hold or reserve items from our inventory.
